Imogen quickly adapted to the change in question style and was able to recognise that she could use the information already provided in the question to work out what was missing. She demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and confidence in applying what she already knows to unfamiliar questions. Imogen is a quick learner, and it is wonderful to see her becoming more confident in her mathematical thinking every day.

It is evident that Imogen is already developing this mindset, as I can see her taking the initiative to attempt each question independently before asking for help. She is becoming more willing to take risks, make mistakes, and work through challenging problems, which is a really positive sign of her growing confidence and independence in mathematics.

Imogen adapted well to different question styles, particularly past-paper questions on her homework sheets that included a combination of short-answer and word problems. She demonstrated good flexibility in applying her knowledge across different types of questions.

However, Imogen needs to continue working on carefully reading and understanding each question before beginning, as she can sometimes give up too quickly when she finds a question challenging. I would like to see her continue using the step-by-step approach I taught her, mapping out each question and clearly showing her thinking process and calculation steps. This will help her work through problems more confidently, reduce avoidable mistakes, and develop greater independence when solving unfamiliar questions.

Imogen was hardworking and engaged throughout the lesson. - She was a fast learner and was able to grasp new trigonometry concepts quickly. -Imogen had some **prior knowledge of trigonometric ratios from school, which helped her confidently apply concepts such as **sin, cos, tan and SOH CAH TOA**. -She was able to follow explanations well and apply strategies to solve problems independently. -Imogen demonstrated good mathematical reasoning when identifying the correct trigonometric ratio to use.

Keep up the good work of double-check her work after completing calculations to improve accuracy and avoid silly mistakes. - Read questions twice carefully** to ensure she fully understands what is being asked before starting. - Write out each step of her calculations clearly** rather than calculating too quickly, so she can identify and correct any mistakes more easily.

After reviewing Imogen's test paper, I could clearly see that she had remembered and applied the strategies I had taught her. She consistently rewrote the questions to improve her understanding and used the "eyebrow" method when expanding brackets. It was evident that she took her time with each question and approached the test carefully, aiming to maximise her marks even when she was unsure of the final answer. Rather than leaving questions blank, Imogen showed all of her working and structured her solutions using the methods we had practised together. This demonstrated not only her mathematical understanding but also her confidence in applying problem-solving strategies. I was incredibly proud of Imogen's effort, perseverance and progress. Seeing her independently use the techniques we had worked on reinforced the positive impact of our tutoring sessions and highlighted the growth she has made in both her skills and confidence.

Keep up the amazing work Imogen! With confidence and consitent hard work, Imogen can achieve anything! However, I would have liked Imogen to demonstrate greater confidence when answering the more challenging questions. Although she showed all of her working and applied the strategies we had practised, there were times when she appeared hesitant to complete the final steps or fully commit to an answer. With continued practice and encouragement, I believe she will become more confident in tackling complex problems independently and trusting her mathematical reasoning. Please also, try to write neater to avoid the marker confusing the letters with a number and even IMogen when it comes to calculating the next steps!
