What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a students confidence grow. I love the moment when something clicks for them, when a concept that once felt overwhelming suddenly becomes simple and achievable. Being able to support someone through that shift and watch them start believing in their own ability is genuinely rewarding for me.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strengths as a tutor are my patience, clear communication, and ability to break down difficult ideas into smaller, manageable steps. I am very familiar with how intimidating maths can feel, especially in high school, so I focus on creating a calm, encouraging environment. I am also really good at adapting my explanations to suit the students learning style, whether they prefer visual examples, step-by-step walkthroughs, or practical applications.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student are to build their confidence, make learning feel approachable, and create a space where they feel comfortable asking questions. A good tutor doesn't just help with content, they help the student develop problem-solving skills, resilience, and a more positive relationship with the subject. Ultimately, my goal is to guide students toward independence so they can feel proud of their progress and capable in their own learning.

About Yassmin
Friendly science student who relates well to teens and kids
Yassmin is a Bachelor of Science student who remembers clearly what itβs like to be in primary and high school, and uses that to explain ideas in a way that actually makes sense to young learners. She is fluent in English, French and Farsi, which helps her connect with students from different backgrounds and break down tricky concepts into simple steps. This tutor focuses on building confidence first, so students feel comfortable asking questions and having another go when work feels challenging.
Clear communicator with strong organisation and study skills
Through her studies, Yassmin has developed strong time management, notetaking and exam preparation strategies that she shares directly with her students. She helps them plan homework, break big tasks into smaller pieces and stay on top of deadlines. Her experience balancing university with other commitments means she can model practical routines that work in real life. Sessions are structured but relaxed, with clear goals, quick checkins and simple summaries so parents and students can see progress.
Patient, encouraging approach tailored to each student
Working in busy, peoplefocused roles has trained Yassmin to stay calm, patient and solutionfocused, even when someone is frustrated or unsure what to do next. She brings this same approach to tutoring, gently correcting mistakes and offering different explanations until the idea βclicksβ. This tutor enjoys using realworld examples to make Maths and English feel more relevant, and is happy to adjust pace, provide extra practice, or create simple revision resources so each student feels supported and motivated.
