What do I enjoy most about tutoring? š
I enjoy being able to pass on information to other people, and seeing their hard work pay off in their achievements, being able to celebrate that with them as well and being a reason as to how they reach their goals.My Strengths as Tutor šŖ
I try experimenting with different approaches as a tutor, rather than sticking to the books and I engage with my student, forming a relationship with them and understanding their strengths and weaknesses to influence my teaching. I am also a very patient person when it comes to teaching, and I am happy with repeating topics and explaining a few times over. But this doesn't stop me from driving progress into my students, so I work effectively but without intensity.Most important things I can do for a student š
Something I believe is important is fostering a passion within the student for the subject, being the reason why someone starts to like something, become passionate, and work hard from their heart rather than from external sources. About me
Hi! I am Tiffany Du, and I am currently 17 years old. I find Maths and Chemistry super interesting and I would be so glad to be able to help you with finding your interests and passions alongside me! I am studying Psychology Honours at University of Sydney and with this, I thrive off bonding with my students and creating a personal relationship with me so I can target my teaching to their learning styles, their strengths and their interests.
Real classroom and mentoring experience with young learners
Tiffany has handson experience as an assistant teacher in a Kindergarten classroom, helping young children with early literacy and numeracy activities and learning how to keep lessons calm, structured and encouraging. She has also volunteered in a school library, supporting students in finding appropriate reading material and building positive study habits. These roles mean she is comfortable working with children of different abilities, guiding them patiently while still keeping them on task.
Creative, organised tutor who connects with students
Alongside her academic strengths, Tiffany brings creativity and leadership to her tutoring. She founded a student art club from scratch and helped run school events as a prefect, showing she can plan engaging activities and communicate clearly with peers and younger students.
