What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to pass on information to other people, and seeing their hard work pay off in their achievements, being able to celebrate that with them as well and being a reason as to how they reach their goals.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I try experimenting with different approaches as a tutor, rather than sticking to the books and I engage with my student, forming a relationship with them and understanding their strengths and weaknesses to influence my teaching.
I am also a very patient person when it comes to teaching, and I am happy with repeating topics and explaining a few times over. But this doesn't stop me from driving progress into my students, so I work effectively but without intensity.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Something I believe is important is fostering a passion within the student for the subject, being the reason why someone starts to like something, become passionate, and work hard from their heart rather than from external sources. I would love to help students find genuine interest in Maths and Chemistry as much as I did.

About Tiffany
About me
Hi! I am Tiffany Du, and I am currently 17 years old. I find Maths and Chemistry super interesting and I would be so glad to be able to help you with finding your interests and passions alongside me! I am studying Psychology Honours at University of Sydney and with this, I thrive off bonding with my students and creating a personal relationship with me so I can target my teaching to their learning styles, their strengths and their interests.

- She understood many terms very easily, and was able to apply ideas such as energy transformations in questions - After going through Sankey Diagrams, she was able to understand how it happens and how it works quickly - She actively listened and cooperated so we could stay productive and get as much as we could done in a short time.
- Now we will work on long term memorisation, as some things I taught in our very first lesson together was forgotten - We will also work more on taking initiative on own revision, after drafting a study plan and teaching her study methods like flash cards

She seems to be really capable with Thinking Skills which is fantastic - Maths, she does better for homework, and when she is in a state of focus, however, she can get tired easily and the accuracy would go down as she gets tired, which is completely normal
- For writing, we have yet to see how she writes and her creativity in writing - We will continue working on increasing attention span and focus, but it is definitely improving.

- She is improving with her indices and she is doing pretty well in science in preparation for her test tomorrow which is great to hear - She also did well in the homework sheet, although there are still some content to touch base on.
- Now we can work on consolidating the knowledge and revising it until it is in her muscle memory - Mostly just consolidating her knowledge in year 9 maths while working on writing good working out, vocalising her thoughts and building up her foundation.
- She is actively listening to my explanations - She retained some content really quickly shown in the practice questions we did together

- I will highly encourage her to take notes as I explain so she can remember it better rather than waiting until after class to write it and then forget. - Gonna allow her to take some more initiative in lessons to do questions on her own and explain to me what she learnt to encourage independent learning.
