What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy the satisfaction when a student who has struggled a lot finally understands a difficult content. The satisfaction is not only from me successfully helping them to understand the content, but also from them being able to persevere and grow as a learner. When a student sees the reward of their perseverance, they can gain more motivation to learn and can grow in their self-confidence, which is a beautiful thing to see as a tutor.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
Through my experience working with students of various abilities and backgrounds, I can quickly identify a student's learning style, needs, strengths and weaknesses, from which I can plan how to teach them most effectively. This ensures that each tutoring session is meaningful and helpful for the student as they work towards their goals. I also know effective strategies to scaffold a student so that they can understand very difficult content.
I am also a reliable who ensures that I do my best in helping a student understands a content firmly and deeply, not superficially.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The tutor needs to provide the student with effective explanations of the subject content, as well as equipping them with good mindset and study strategies. Students come to tutors often because they do not find the teaching style at school effective, therefore tutors need to understand the student's needs and provide tailored explanations of the content. Moreover, through advising the student on study strategies and mindset, a tutor can help a student grow as a learner and succeed at school, not only in their tutoring subject but in any subjects they study.
