What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing the student light up when they get the problem on the paper. It often reminds me of myself in high school and I love making the student feel like they can be comfortable with making mistakes to be able to learn at the end.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Strengths wise I’m good at explaining the question on the board and ensuring that it is worded correctly so that they are comfortable and don’t feel like they have a pressure on them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is make them feel comfortable enough to make mistakes and not become afraid. Often making mistakes can be seen as a bad thing, but I see it as a way to grow and learn from the mistake you made.

About Diya

Friendly, Reliable Support for Primary and High School Learners

Diya is a warm, approachable tutor who connects easily with children and teenagers. Through her school and community experiences, she has developed strong communication and listening skills, helping her quickly understand what a student is struggling with and how to explain it clearly. She is patient and calm, making it easier for shy or anxious students to ask questions. Diya focuses on building confidence step by step, so students feel proud of their progress in Maths and English.

Organised, Clear Explanations and Strong Study Habits

This tutor brings excellent organisational skills to every lesson, planning sessions so time is used well and goals are clear. Diya is used to managing multiple tasks and deadlines, and she passes these skills on to students by helping them break work into smaller, manageable steps. She encourages neat working, structured answers, and simple methods for checking work, which is especially helpful for exam preparation and homework support in both primary and high school.

Leadership Experience and Student-Centred Approach

Diya’s leadership experience means she knows how to guide and motivate young people, not just tell them what to do. She has practised staying calm under pressure and communicating clearly with a wide range of people, which translates into lessons that feel safe, respectful and encouraging. She likes to ask students how they prefer to learn—whether that’s step-by-step examples, practice questions, or talking through ideas—so sessions are tailored to each child’s personality and learning style.
