What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love the feeling of satisfaction i get when I see a student that was previously struggling with a specific concept finally grasp it. I see how accomplished and excited they get when they are improving and It makes me so happy to know that I contributed to that. I know how difficult it is to navigate concepts out of your comfort zone so i consider it a privilege to be able to help someone feel more comfortable in a subject they previously disliked.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think I am extremely encouraging and optimistic which is really important in order to motivate students to keep going especially when it is difficult. Often students go to tutoring to get additional help with specific concepts so I think maintaining a positive and uplifting environment is vital for their progress. I am also very clear and concise in my teaching.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think empathy is the most important thing, as someone who is currently teaching kids and who has done tutoring since a very young age, I have firsthand experience in knowing that when a tutor is empathetic and kind towards the student, the student is more likely to be open towards growth and learning. Mindset is key in any learning environment and tutors should help nuture a positive mindset which will help the student persevere. I also think being concise and clear in your teaching is also extremely important because that way it eliminates the student's struggle to understand your words.
