What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I enjoy being able to watch students grow in their academic proficiency and see the impact I was able to have on their performance and confidence. Teaching concepts and watching them start to grasp them is an extremely rewarding and enjoyable aspect of tutoring for me.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I think that my strength as a tutor lies in communication, understanding and patience. I am able to communicate concepts for students in a way that relates to them and tailored to fit their needs and understandings. Furthermore, I always try to be understanding of where the student is at and make sure they are fully confident in themself before moving on to the next topic or question.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
The most important thing for students is to build their confidence, academic prowess and problem solving skills so they can not only answer the specific questions taught but be able to adapt to different situations. It is important that they have a proper understanding of the full concepts allowing them to have more flexibility in answering different questions. As a tutor it is very important to help build students confidence in themself and their work.

Over my years of tutoring I have learnt to be able to understand and connect with students to more effectively aid them in reaching their academic goals. I am a patient tutor who will always ensure that my students are 100% confident before moving on.
Skilled Teacher with Strong Musical and Coaching Background
Alongside maths, Jennifer has several years of experience as a violin tutor, planning and leading individual lessons and preparing students for exams and performances. This has given her a strong sense of how to motivate students, set achievable goals and track progress over time. With more than a decade of personal violin study behind her, she understands what it feels like to be a learner and uses this insight to keep students encouraged, patient and persistent when they find schoolwork challenging.
Creative, Organised and Relatable to Young Learners
Jenniferโs background in commerce and advanced studies, combined with running her own crochet venture, means she brings creativity and real-world problem-solving into her sessions. She is used to designing her own resources, such as simple practice sheets and step-by-step guides, and enjoys using studentsโ interests to make examples more engaging. With proven time-management skills and extensive experience working with children and teens, this tutor creates a friendly, structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying new approaches.
