What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy sharing my passion with my students. For me, tutoring is not only a job; I also learn more from my students when I teach them. I derive great satisfaction from helping them.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My strongest attribute is that I am still a student, studying a Bachelor of Mathematics at UWA, and therefore, I can directly relate to my students and help them not only as a teacher, but as a friend. Also, I am highly knowledgeable in the subjects that I teach and I enjoy working with children and be part of their successful academic journey.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Every student can excel when provided with the correct guidance. The most important things a tutor should do are, first and foremost, to understand the student's perspective, that is, to assess the student's shortcomings and their underlying causes. Then, use the student's strengths to his advantage. A tutor must help the student develop a love for the subject rather than view it as a burden. A tutor should also be readily available for the students, as I remember having queries and always wanting answers ASAP. Last but not least, the tutor should always motivate the student.

About Jivitesh

High-achieving maths student with strong academic results

Jivitesh is a high-achieving maths student who has consistently performed at the top of his classes, earning more than 90% in Mathematics and Additional Mathematics at school and excelling in Economics and the sciences. Now studying a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Finance and Financial Planning, he brings a logical, numbers-focused mindset that suits both primary and high school maths. This tutor understands exam-style questions and can clearly explain problem-solving steps so students build confidence, not just memorise formulas.

Clear communicator in English and French

With advanced certifications in both English and French and strong results in school French, Jivitesh is well placed to support students in reading, writing, grammar and exam preparation. He has guided high school students through university applications, helping them refine personal statements and understand complex forms, which shows his ability to break down tasks and explain clearly. This tutor is patient, articulate and able to adapt explanations for different ages and abilities, including bilingual learners.

Supportive mentor with real-world perspective

Beyond academics, Jivitesh has volunteered through a school service club, helping organise fundraising events and environmental projects such as tree planting and clean-up initiatives. He has also supported peers with scholarship and university research, giving him insight into students’ long-term goals and pressures. Drawing on these experiences, this tutor brings a calm, organised and encouraging approach, helping students set realistic goals, manage their workload and see how strong maths and English skills open doors for their future.
