What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy being able to share my knowledge and ease a student's burden in their studies by helping them to grasp new ideas or topics they are venturing throughout their schooling years.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I am extremely patient and know how to cater for different students' needs - whether that means going slower or moving faster for each student depending on their pace. I am also very organised so I am able to tackle multiple responsibilities at once and can optimise teaching lessons to enhance a student's experience with a new topic.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important thing a tutor can do is understand the individual student's needs and apply their skills to ensure that the student is satisfied with what success looks like to them so they feel supported in their education journey.

About Diya

High-achieving maths student with proven competition success

Diya is a high-performing Year 12 student at a selective-entry school, with a strong track record in mathematics. She has earned distinction awards in the Australian Mathematics Competition, showing she can tackle challenging problem-solving and explain concepts beyond the basics. Years of working ahead in a structured maths programme mean she understands how to break tricky ideas into manageable steps. This tutor is well placed to support primary and lower secondary students who need clear explanations and confidence-building in maths.

Student leader who relates well to young learners

As a long-standing Student Representative Council member and current co-chair, Diya regularly represents her peers and helps organise school events such as fundraisers and competitions. This experience means she is comfortable speaking with different age groups, listening carefully, and motivating others. On the court, she has received awards in basketball, showing she can encourage teamwork and perseverance. Parents can expect a tutor who is approachable, organised and able to connect with students in a friendly, respectful way.

Disciplined, well-rounded mentor with strong study habits

Diya balances advanced study with dance, sport and community commitments, using strict time management and scheduling to keep on top of everything. Her background in structured programmes like Kumon, along with years of Bharatanatyam and Bollywood dance training, has built strong discipline, focus and attention to detail. She brings these habits into tutoring sessions, helping students plan their homework, set realistic goals and develop effective study routines for maths and English, not just β€œget the work done”.
