What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love when I see the students understanding the work, and seeing that lightbulb in their head. And if they’re not understanding yet, figuring out different ways to explain to them so they do understand.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Communication, imagination, being able to explain an idea or theory in many ways, and enthusiasm.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Stay patient, some topics are just harder for certain students to understand. Having the enthusiasm for the kids to reflect so they are motivated to learn and loving what you teach.

About Ella

About Me!

Hi! My name is Ella, and I am a passionate and patient tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students build confidence in their learning. I tutor a wide range of subjects including Maths, English, and Science-based sujects, and I work with students from Primary School through to senior High School. I offer both in-person and online tutoring, allowing flexibility to suit your family's schedule.

My Tutoring Approach

I believe every student learns differently, so I focus on explaining concepts in multiple ways until they truly make sense. I am a strong communicator and enjoy using imagination and real-life examples to make learning engaging and less intimidating. I always encourage students to ask questions, talk through their thinking, and feel comfortable making mistakes, that's how the real learning happens.

What I Aim to Give My Students

My goal is to help students feel capable, motivated and supported. I stay patient with challenging topics and bring enthusiasm to each session so students feel encouraged rather than pressured. I love seeing that 'lightbulb moment' when a concept clicks, and if it doesn't happen right away, I'll keep working with the student until it does. Above all, I want students to gain confidence in their abilities and develop skills that help them succeed independently at school and beyond the classroom.
