What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge with others.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor is that I can understand when a student does not understand the concept and can stop and ensure that they understand better.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe a tutor must be available for students at times and should be receptive to all sorts of questions. The most important thing is to tailor the learning experience around the student.

About Emmanuel

High-achieving maths student with proven competition success

Emmanuel is a high-performing secondary student with consistently strong academic results, especially in mathematics. He has earned multiple High Distinction awards in a national mathematics competition, showing he not only understands the content but can tackle challenging problems under pressure. This tutor draws on his own experience preparing for selective school exams and scholarships, helping students build exam strategies, logical thinking, and confidence. Emmanuel explains concepts clearly and enjoys breaking tricky questions into simple, manageable steps.

Leadership, communication and mentoring experience

Emmanuel brings real leadership experience, having been elected Vice School Captain by hundreds of peers. In this role, he regularly spoke to groups, coordinated activities and represented student interests—skills that translate directly into calm, confident guidance during tutoring sessions. Through ongoing church volunteering, he has also helped with Sunday School program development, giving him practical experience supporting younger students’ learning and engagement in a structured environment.

Patient, organised and relatable role model

As a long-term basketball referee, Emmanuel is used to making quick decisions, managing conflict and communicating clearly with children, teenagers and adults—all while staying fair and calm. This has shaped his tutoring style: patient, organised and focused on helping students stay composed even when work feels difficult. He is fluent in English and also speaks Malayalam and some French, which helps him connect with students from diverse backgrounds and explain ideas in different ways until they truly click.
