What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Although I have not formally tutored before, I was a peer mentor to another student in my school. My favourite thing about this role was seeing her confidence and love of maths grow. When we began the mentoring, she was struggling with many concepts and not enjoying maths as a subject. It was really rewarding to see her understanding develop over time as I went through examples with her and clarified points of difficulty. I think that the most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is to help them gain confidence by being supportive and adapting techniques to individual students.
