What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I do not have official tutoring experience, however I feel I can be a good teacher, passing on knowledge to others is one of my favourite things to do. I would certainly enjoy making another person understand a concept.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

my strengths would be my organisation ability. I can resource things for students. As I am a student myself I understand how to convey information in a more succinct and developmental way.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important thing a tutor can do is to make sure the student enjoys and has the desire to learn the topic. This will ensure moral and motivation for the student and the tutor as they will both learn more about the subject and the students learning habits respectively.

About Shaanvi

From Coaching Kids’ Sport to Guiding Classroom Success

Shaanvi brings real experience working with children through her time as an assistant coach for an under-12s basketball team. She helped demonstrate techniques, broke skills into clear steps, and encouraged shy players to build confidence on the court. This hands-on coaching means she understands how to motivate young learners, keep them engaged, and explain ideas in different ways until they click – all directly transferable to helping primary and early high school students in Maths and English.

Clear Communicator with Strong Problem-Solving Skills

Through roles that demanded constant interaction with people, Shaanvi has built strong communication, patience and conflict resolution skills. She is used to listening carefully, spotting where misunderstandings arise, and calmly talking others through solutions. This tutor uses those abilities in sessions to identify exactly where a student is stuck, ask the right questions, and guide them step by step. Her attention to detail helps her check working, correct small errors, and model neat, logical ways to present answers.

Creative, Community-Minded Tutor Who Connects Learning to the Real World

Shaanvi adds creativity and real-world relevance to her tutoring. She has written a children’s book about different countries and helped assemble solar lights for schools, giving her plenty of stories and examples to bring reading, writing and problem-solving to life. Having organised and completed a charity run, she knows how to set goals and follow them through – a mindset she shares with students when planning study routines, building confidence, and celebrating their progress.
