What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy watching students' progress over time and find their love of learning. I enjoy it most when I can see the student's attitude towards their learning shift and their confidence grow.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I believe I have good adaptability and can easily change my teaching style to match the student's learning pace and style. I’m also supportive and patient with students, especially when they are feeling frustrated or discouraged.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I believe a successful tutor focuses on building the student's confidence in their learning as well as skills. A tutor that nurtures the student's own confidence, and curiosity in their studies will benefit the student more in the long term.

About Kassandra

High-Achieving Uni Student Who Knows How to Explain Things Clearly

Kassandra is a high-performing university student studying Sociology, with a strong academic record in English, General Mathematics, Economics and History, achieving more than 90% across multiple senior subjects. She has also completed a major research project at an A standard, giving her an excellent grasp of how to structure essays, analyse information and prepare for assessments. This tutor uses her own study strategies to help students break tasks into manageable steps, build confidence and see clear progress in both Maths and English.

Real Tutoring Experience With Primary Students and Family Support

Kassandra has hands-on experience tutoring one-on-one and in small groups. She tutors her niece weekly in maths, reading, spelling and grammar, carefully planning sessions around school topics and homework. She has also run structured sessions for Year 4–6 students, teaching them coding concepts in engaging, practical ways. Her sessions were recognised as the most successful in her class, and she was asked to assist others with their students, showing her natural ability to explain tricky ideas in a way children understand.

Patient, Organised and Great at Building Confidence

Through her volunteer leadership roles and study, Kassandra has developed strong communication and organisation skills that flow directly into her tutoring. She is used to planning session content, running weekly meetings and guiding groups of students through set tasks. In tutoring, this means she comes prepared with clear goals, simple explanations and plenty of encouragement. This tutor focuses on building each student’s confidence, adapting her approach to different learning styles and celebrating small wins so that schoolwork feels less stressful and more achievable.
