What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing bonds form between students, and as the relationship further solidifies, I'm able to see the success and their growth. I am a very positive person; I am highly organised and a good leader; I have an in-depth knowledge of my subject, and I will always deliver robust lesson plans that cater to all students. I understand there comes a huge amount of responsibility as a tutor and i relish the challenge the role presents.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
my strengths include the fact that i am a strong organiser and planner, which means i will always be able to successfully manage a large workload. i have an in-depth knowledge of my subject and adaptable style of teaching. this means i can cater for all students regardless of their level of ability and my teaching will always be delivered in line with the school curriculum. Other strength includ my communication skills, my friendly and patient style of tutoring, and the fact i always take responsiblity for my own continous professional development.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Being a competent instructor requires a variety of abilities, such as patience, effective communication, and in-depth subject-matter expertise. Patience is necessary because you need to maintain composure when instructing, be a comforting presence, and treat pupils and other teachers with respect. Since no two students learn in the same way, I think having a flexible communication style is essential to delivering the course curriculum. Demonstrating empathy and understanding is necessary for other abilities and traits.

About Achol
Early Childhood Experience with a Calm, Caring Approach
Achol brings hands-on experience working with children aged 4–10 as a babysitter, where she planned simple educational activities to support early literacy, numeracy and emotional development. She is used to explaining ideas patiently, keeping children engaged and feeling safe, and communicating clearly with parents about progress and behaviour. This tutor’s background in childcare means she understands different personalities and learning styles, and she naturally builds trust so younger students feel comfortable asking questions and trying new tasks.
Classroom Support and One-on-One Guidance
As a volunteer teacher and student religious educator, Achol has supported groups of young learners in structured lesson settings. She has assisted in creating and delivering lesson plans, then stepped in with targeted one-on-one help for students who needed extra guidance. She has also organised creative activities to make learning memorable, from interactive discussions to hands-on tasks. This mix of small-group and individual support helps her tailor sessions to each child’s level in both English and basic maths.
Organised Senior Student Who Relates to Learners
Currently completing her senior studies and a university preparation program, Achol understands the pressure of assignments, exams and time management from a student’s perspective. She uses this insight to coach students in planning their work, breaking down tricky questions, and building confidence step by step. With strengths in problem solving, strategic planning and clear communication in English and Dinka, this tutor connects well with diverse families and helps students develop practical study habits they can use beyond tutoring sessions.
