What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I really enjoy helping students achieve their goals, as watching their motivation and growth is extremely rewarding. In particular, seeing a student finally understand a concept they initially struggled with is especially fulfilling, as it builds their confidence and belief in their own abilities.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths include my attention to detail and observant skills which allow me to cater my teaching style to a variety of students’ needs. Furthermore, my problem solving skills which I have improved over time through leadership activities at school allow me to clearly explain concepts to my students. My strong organisation skills will help me create structured, clear, and productive lessons, as well as my friendly personality which will ensure my students are comfortable asking questions.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to gradually build their confidence over time and creating a supportive learning environment where they are able to seek assistance comfortably. It is important that a tutor tailors their teaching methods and explanations according to each student’s needs, building a strong understanding, motivation, and confidence understanding key concepts.

About Emily
High-achieving maths specialist with proven results
I am a friendly and dedicated tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I focus on creating a supportive, tailored and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. By breaking down complex concepts into clear and manageable steps, I aim to develop both understanding and independent learning skills in every student I work with.
Clear communicator and natural student leader
Emily has served as both a School Prefect and School Ambassador, regularly speaking with students, parents and community members at official events. These roles have strengthened her confidence in explaining ideas clearly and listening carefully to others’ needs. In tutoring, she uses this experience to break down tricky concepts into simple steps, check for understanding, and adapt her explanations. Parents can expect a tutor who models responsibility, maturity and strong communication for their child.
Organised, detail-focused and relatable mentor
This tutor combines strong organisational skills, time management and attention to detail to help students plan their study, structure homework and prepare for assessments without feeling overwhelmed. Having recently balanced leadership roles, academic extension and extracurricular commitments, Emily understands the pressure students face and shares practical strategies that actually work. She aims to create a calm, encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions, building both their confidence and independence in Maths and English.
