What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I believe it's a rewarding experience to see the impact you make on students in real time. To be able to build someone's confidence and see the moment when a difficult concept finally clicks for them demonstrates how tutoring can help to not only build on a student's knowledge but also their confidence. I think it's rewarding to be the part of the reason why a student develops passion or interest for the same subjects I've always had a love for.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe in personalizing education for my students. Not everyone learns concepts in the same way and through my previous experience in tutoring, I've learnt it makes a difference to approach each student in their own way. For example, I've learnt some students learn best through being given demonstrations and through working on problems together while others may require visual approaches and detailed breakdowns of certain concepts. I believe that through my experience, I have the skill required to be able to offer each student the unique learning styles they require.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Tutoring is not just about building on knowledge, it's about developing the confidence and passion that a student needs in order to take their learning into their own hands. I believe it's important for a tutor to act as a mentor to help students build that confidence. This helps them to be self-sufficient and develops a sense of understanding for subjects they may otherwise dislike approaching.

She has experience planning and delivering tailored lessons that follow curriculum standards while matching each student’s learning style. This tutor focuses on building problem-solving skills and clear conceptual understanding, so students don’t just memorise formulas but know how and why they work in real questions and exams.
Proven Teaching Experience with Young Learners
With experience as both a private tutor and a swim teacher, Disha is confident working with children of different ages and abilities, including those with learning challenges. She is used to breaking complex ideas into manageable steps, giving calm, clear instructions, and adjusting her approach when something isn’t clicking. Confident Leader Who Connects with Students
Beyond academics, Disha has led a music ensemble and served as a student representative, where she organised student-led initiatives and advocated for her peers. These roles strengthened her communication, empathy, and ability to build rapport—skills she brings directly into her tutoring. She enjoys using creative explanations, real-life examples and even elements of her performing arts background to keep sessions engaging, helping students feel comfortable asking questions and confident tackling challenging maths and science topics.
