What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy tutoring most when a student becomes confident. Helping struggling students see they're not 'bad' at a subject just needing a different explanation builds confidence and changes everything. I also love helping strong students grow even more confident and turn what they're good at into something amazing.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

One of my strengths as a tutor is that I understand that every student learns differently. I've spent a lot of time figuring out my own learning techniques, so I know how to adapt methods to fit each student's personality, mindset, and the subject at hand. This helps me make lessons effective, clear, and engaging for everyone.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do is help a student truly understand, not just tell them the answer. Tutoring isn't the solution by itself. The real goal is guiding students to think, approach problems, and understand concepts well enough that they can study and succeed on their own, not just when they have to sit their tests and exams by themselves but also in the future.

About Faiza

Strong Academic Foundation in English and Maths

Faiza is a high-achieving Biomedicine student who finished school with an ATAR in the low 90s and top-band study scores in both VCE English and General Maths. This means she not only understands the content deeply but also knows how to tackle exams, SACs and written responses efficiently. She draws on her own recent VCE experience to show students how to plan essays, break down complex questions and build effective study routines that suit their level, from upper primary through to senior high school.

Real Tutoring Experience with School-Age Students

This tutor currently supports a VCE English student one-on-one, helping with text analysis, argument essays and exam preparation. She has also taught Arabic remotely to younger students, so she is comfortable explaining new concepts clearly over both online and inperson sessions. Faiza uses simple stepbystep methods, models answers with students and then gradually hands responsibility back, so learners gain both skills and confidence rather than relying on memorising answers.

Caring, Community-Minded Mentor

Faiza brings a calm, friendly presence shaped by years of community volunteering, including library support and involvement in youth-focused activities. She is used to working with diverse learners and is patient with students who may feel anxious about English or Maths. With a Working with Vulnerable People registration and First Aid training, she offers a safe, responsible learning environment. Parents can expect clear communication, regular feedback and a tutor who genuinely enjoys seeing students grow academically and personally.
