What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is explaining a concept and seeing it finally click for a student. Building trust, respect, and a sense of connection while supporting both their academic progress and personal growth is what makes tutoring truly rewarding for me.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

Not all students have the same learning abilities, attention span or language proficiencies - my biggest strength is being able to understand this, plan the lesson accordingly and cater to the specific needs of each student.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I believe every student has the potential to achieve their goals; sometimes, they simply need guidance, a listening ear, and clear explanations of challenging concepts. Above all, I believe patience is essential in helping students succeed.

About Yeshaswini

Experienced Tutor Across Primary and High School Levels

Yeshaswini has several years of direct tutoring experience, supporting students from Year 5 to Year 10 in English, maths and science, as well as senior students in biology, chemistry and psychology. She has worked both as a private tutor and as an academic tutor with organised tutoring programmes, giving her a strong understanding of different school curricula and expectations. This tutor is used to helping students prepare for tests, tackle tricky homework and build long-term study habits that actually stick.

Strong Academic Background in Medicine, Science and Psychology

With a background in medicine and a prior degree in psychology, this tutor brings deep subject knowledge and a practical understanding of how students think and learn. Her experience working in hospital and community medical settings, as well as an internship in a pharmaceutical department, means she can explain scientific ideas using real-world examples. This is especially valuable for high school science and VCE biology, chemistry and psychology, where students often struggle to connect theory with everyday life.

Calm, Empathetic Approach with a Personal Touch

Parents can expect a calm, organised and empathetic tutor who takes time to understand each student’s personality and learning style. Through several years of volunteer tutoring, Yeshaswini has learnt how to build trust, encourage shy learners and adjust her communication for different ages and abilities. She often uses storytelling and practical scenarios from medicine and psychology to make complex topics less intimidating. Outside of academics, her love of dance helps her bring creativity, energy and balance into her lessons.
