What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most are the moments when I guide students through ‘obstacles to understanding’. This immediate feedback is very rewarding when a complex mathematical concept is broken down into understandable logical steps and you see that 'Oh, I got it' look in the student's eyes. I love helping students build their confidence and realize that math is not an insurmountable problem but a chain that can be broken down and solved logically.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My advantages mainly include three points:
Logical atomization and dismantling: I am good at breaking down complex mathematics problems into small, easy-to-digest logical steps to help students overcome their fear of difficulty when facing difficult problems.
High degree of adaptability and patience: I have a nursing background and can keenly observe students' emotions and understanding levels, and adjust the explanation method at any time based on their feedback until I find the learning path that best suits them.
Establishing systematic thinking: I not only teach students to solve problem
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
"Atomising" complex tasks, constructing a general problem-solving framework, and building self-confidence and a sense of control are three most important things a tutor can do for a student.

About Wei
Experienced Maths & Computing Support for School Students
Wei is a multilingual tutor with solid experience helping secondary and tertiary students with maths and computing. He has tutored precalculus in a university maths lab and supported students in programming and web design, so he is very comfortable explaining abstract ideas in clear, simple steps. His background in computer science means he approaches maths through logic and patterns, which works especially well for students who feel overwhelmed by formulas or multistep questions.
Proven Teaching Skills with Strong Exam Results
This tutor has worked as a computer science lecturer, planning and delivering lessons, creating presentations and writing exams. He has guided large groups of students through demanding national computing exams, with an impressive pass rate of around 95%. This experience means he understands how to prepare students for tests, from breaking down the syllabus to designing practice questions and building exam strategies that reduce anxiety and improve accuracy.
Patient, Structured and Culturally Aware Approach
Wei is fluent in English and several Chinese dialects, which helps him connect with students from diverse backgrounds and explain concepts in more than one way if needed. He is currently studying nursing, which has strengthened his communication, patience and attention to detail. In sessions, he focuses on stepbystep reasoning, encouraging students to “talk through” their thinking and correct small errors early. Parents can expect organised lessons, clear homework guidance and regular feedback on their child’s progress.
