What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The most rewarding part of tutoring is witnessing the moment a student’s frustration transforms into genuine confidence and interests. I find fulfillment in seeing their personal growth, not just in solving a difficult concept, but in their growth of interest in learning the subject and the sense of excitement for resolving a hard problem.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I think my strengths as a tutor are firstly, I have been a tutor in Chemistry and Maths for over a year now, I have successfully helped my past students with finishing their end of school exam. Moreover, all the students I have had have positive feedback on their tutoring experience, which can be seen in their academic growth, shown by their grades, whether they have been with me for a month or longer. Lastly, through my experience as a tutor, I have learned to use different approaches for different students.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I think the most important things as a tutor can do for a student is to make them enjoy learning and be more confident. Instead of telling them what to do, as a tutor, we should guide them to find a solution. This way, we empower them to become independent thinkers. By guiding students toward a solution rather than simply providing it, we build their problem solving skills and independence. This approach transforms a daunting questions into a series of winnable steps, ensuring that the confidence they gain in one session carries over into their future study.
