What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
As a tutor, I really enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and become more independent in their learning. Having been a student who received tutoring myself, the experience, built confidence and approach challenging subjects with a more positive mindset. I find it rewarding to watch students move from uncertainty to understanding, especially when they begin to trust their own abilities and take ownership of their progress.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
One of my primary strengths is definitely breaking down complex ideas into simple, relatable examples by using visuals, games, and everyday situations that younger students understand. I also focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I believe fully supporting students throughout their learning journey, especially when concepts feel frustrating or overwhelming. Providing consistent encouragement and reassurance helps students stay motivated and build resilience. It is also important to recognise that personal challenges can sometimes affect academic performance, so checking in on a studentβs wellbeing and maintaining a healthy balance between support and expectations is essential to prevent burnout.

About Khushi
High school life
I completed my VCE studies in Mathematics Methods, English, French, and Visual Communication Design, alongside a university subject in Climate Change through Monash University. I also undertook VET studies in Interior Design and Retail Services. During my senior year, I held leadership roles as Language and Culture Captain and President of the Interact Club, where I developed strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills while actively contributing to my school community.
Starting University
In 2026, I will commence tertiary studies at the University of Melbourne, undertaking a Bachelor of Design with majors in Architecture and Landscape Architecture, while concurrently completing a Diploma of Languages in French Studies. Alongside my studies, I am actively involved in several university charity clubs, while have volunteering opportunities.
Extracurriculars, fun facts about me
Outside of my studies, I volunteer weekly at a working bee in a city restoration area, contributing to environmental conservation and community improvement initiatives. I am also actively involved in my local community program, which organises charitable events and supports various outreach activities. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, watching television, and listening to music. These hobbies allow me to unwind creatively while staying inspired and balanced alongside my academic commitments.
