Slowing down before reading a question will allow him to understand exactly how much detail and content he needs to include in his answer. He could seek to grow his confidence in science/physics based knowledge, where he can memorise information well, but is unable to apply it when framed in a different light.

There could be improvement in the way questions are answered, especially in STEM courses like Biology, where a specific answer is often sought, Mahmoud would benefit from expanding on his answers to achieve all marks in a question. Could improve on identifying which technique to use at each stage of the equation when not explicitly stated in the question. When working with worded questions, there was hesitancy around how to approach the question and break down the information to find the needed data.
