What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing people gradually improve from tutoring them, developing and enriching their knowledge of a subject.
I myself in the past was also in a similar position where I struggled to learn discipline and love for learning, so I can empathise with them a lot and want to help them be the best version of themselves.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strength as a tutor is my knowledge of the subjects, particularly methods and English, where the ISMG is pivotal in obtaining good marks.
I also think my patience is a good aspect, as it enables me to help guide the student in a positive, nurturing manner.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor could do for a student is to help them develop a sense of self-dependency, as in the student attempts to do the question themselves and, with some little guidance, overcome the issue themselves.
Obviously providing assistance and work is the role of a tutor; genuine improvement cannot occur without the student’s willingness to engage actively and exercise discipline in their learning.
Hence, I strongly believe that the most effective approach is to encourage students to attempt the areas they find challenging and to offer structured guidance.

About Ryan
High-achieving maths specialist with real exam insight
Ryan is a high-achieving recent school graduate with an ATAR above 98 and strong results in both Mathematical Methods and Specialist Mathematics. He understands exactly what is expected in assessments and exams, including how marking guides work and how to prepare for PSMTs. This tutor is confident supporting students from early primary through to Year 12, breaking down complex ideas into simple, step-by-step explanations that help maths feel manageable rather than overwhelming.
One-on-one support built from real family tutoring
Ryan has developed his tutoring approach by working closely with younger siblings across Mathematics, English and Science. He has guided them through assignments, exam preparation and understanding assessment criteria, especially in maths up to Year 11. This tutor focuses on clear language, checking understanding frequently, and revisiting tricky concepts from different angles. Parents can expect patient, structured sessions where students are encouraged to ask questions and build confidence at their own pace.
Clear communicator who makes maths feel approachable
Ryan combines strong academic results with down-to-earth communication. He enjoys working with “maths-loving” students as well as those who are unsure or anxious about the subject, using everyday examples and simple terminology to make ideas click. Sessions are organised and goal-focused, whether that’s lifting test scores, tackling a difficult topic, or improving assignment responses. This tutor aims to help students not only get the right answers, but also understand the “why” behind the methods.
