What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love learning and I really want to help others develop that same love. I know the absolute joy I feel when I finally comprehend a math equation or the process of lymph nodes. I love helping my cousin go from confusion to complete understanding. I love learning, myself, how each student learns and using these skills to most effectively help them grow. As I am very academically motivated, I wish to help others find their passion within school.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My main strengths would revolve around my patience, adaptability, and social conceptualisation. I am able to be patient with each student, adapt to their needs, and understand, just by analysing how they engage with the work, to see if I need to alter my help. From this, however, my biggest strength is my own passion for learning, which in turn influences these younger students, allowing them to adopt my same perspective and therefore develop the confidence to achieve their academic goals.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I would say support is the most integral thing I can offer as this allows the opportunity for the student to grow and develop in a safe and encouraging enviroment. By supporting them no matter what, I am enhancing their confidence, understanding, attitude towards learning, and overall perspective of school. It is very important for a tutor to create a positive and nurturing enviroment for the student, promoting the internal desire for success.

About Jorja
High-achieving English and Maths role model
Jorja is a high-performing senior student who has excelled in English Literary Studies, General Mathematics and Psychology, earning academic excellence awards and a very high ATAR (more than 90%). She has already completed two university-level subjects while still at school, showing strong study habits and advanced critical thinking. This tutor understands current curriculum expectations first-hand and can clearly explain concepts, help with essay writing, exam preparation and study strategies for both primary and high school students.
Natural leader with real-world mentoring experience
Jorja has been a House Captain, Social Justice Leader and netball team captain, giving her extensive experience guiding younger students and setting a positive example. She has also worked as a junior netball umpire, where she calmly explains rules, gives constructive feedback and manages groups of children. These experiences shape her tutoring style: clear communication, firm but kind guidance, and the ability to build confidence in students who may be unsure of themselves.
Bubbly, organised tutor who connects with students
With plans to study psychology and a strong interest in how people think and learn, Jorja brings insight into motivation, focus and managing school stress. She is described as bubbly, enthusiastic and highly organised, and she uses these strengths to make sessions engaging while keeping students on track with homework and revision. Whether supporting a primary student with reading and basic maths, or a high school student with essays and test preparation, this tutor creates a friendly, encouraging space where effort and progress are celebrated.
