About Mun June

High-achieving maths specialist with proven results

Mun June brings consistently outstanding academic results, including an ATAR in the high 90s and multiple awards for top performance in Mathematics and Chemistry. She has earned distinctions in national mathematics competitions and ICAS Mathematics, so she knows exactly what is expected in school assessments and extension programmes. In tutoring, she breaks problems into clear, manageable steps and shows students how to β€œthink like the examiner”, building both accuracy and confidence in Maths from upper primary through to senior high school.

Experienced mentor who teaches how to study, not just what to study

This tutor has hands-on experience as a volunteer student mentor, where she helped a younger student with homework, note-taking and exam-style questions, while also checking in on their worries and motivation. As a former class representative and first-year representative in university societies, she is used to explaining complex ideas clearly to different age groups. In sessions, she focuses on study skills, exam techniques and time management, so students leave with strategies they can use across all subjects.

Multilingual, disciplined and relatable role model

Mun June studies Medical Science and Languages, with formal study in Japanese and Ancient Greek, and speaks Mandarin and Cantonese, giving her strong language awareness that she brings into literacy and reading support. Outside the classroom, she is a 2nd Dan black belt in Taekwondo, which shows in her calm, disciplined approach and ability to encourage shy or anxious learners. She enjoys baking and cooking, often using everyday examples like recipes, measurements and real-life scenarios to make Maths and English feel practical and engaging.
