What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love the teaching freedom tutoring brings. Unlike a classroom, I can try different teaching strategies in accordance to the student's needs and learning styles.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My biggest strength as a tutor is my patience. I am willing to explain concepts as many times as possible until the student understand without getting frustrated myself. I empathise with how students can get discouraged when something doesn't make sense, so I focus on encouraging them to believe in themselves and stay motivated.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

The most important things a tutor can do is support a student's mindset and confidence, as it can lead to meaningful academic and personal improvement. It may translate real outcomes - whether it's improved scores, being able to speak up more, or developing an authentic love for learning. A tutor does not just teach, they also enable student to see themselves as capable and talented.

About Lucy

Education and academic background

I have a strong academic background, having been accepted into gifted middle school (Tran Dai Nghia) and high-school (Le Hong Phong) in VN. Through experimenting with different study strategies, I’ve consistently done well in my studies. I wish to share the strategies that work for me to students so they can thrive in their own academic journey.

Teaching approach

I focused on being patient and adapt my lessons to students’ strengths and challenges. I incorporate various exercises to deepen their understanding rather than rote memorization. I believe this approach can help students develop skills beyond classroom.
