What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I think it is being able to use what I have learnt over the past 12 years at school to actually make a difference to students' learning and achievements.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I believe my strengths are being able to explain difficult concepts in a way that is easy for students of any level to understand.
I am fond of implementing study skills and strategies in my lessons to boost efficiency instead of relying solely on ROTE memorisation.
I am a patient communicator and am able to bond well with students.
Most important things I can do for a student π
I think one of the most important skills for being a tutor is being able to connect with students.
If a student doesnβt feel comfortable with a tutor, it can be hard for the student to speak up and ask questions, which makes learning difficult.
A way for tutors to connect with students is to constantly gauge understanding.
For eg, during the lesson, the tutor can ask the student if there is anything the student is not completely sure about. This will allow the tutor to adapt teaching styles to suit the students needs.
