What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students gain confidence in mathematics and seeing the moment when a concept suddenly “clicks†for them. Many students approach maths with anxiety, so I find it rewarding to break concepts down into manageable steps and show them that they are capable of understanding and succeeding. I also enjoy building positive learning relationships and tailoring my teaching approach to each student’s learning style so they feel supported and motivated.

Having taught Grade 10 mathematics at St Peter's School and worked informally with students for several years in coaching centers and private tutoring, I have learned how to explain concepts in multiple ways depending on a student’s needs. I am skilled at identifying gaps in understanding and creating structured, step-by-step explanations that make complex topics approachable. I also focus on building a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
