What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing the satisfaction and confidence on the face of the person I’ve helped — not just students, but anyone I share knowledge with. There is something very rewarding about watching someone move from confusion to clarity. That moment when a concept finally “clicks†for them is incredibly fulfilling. I especially enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simple, logical steps and helping others realize they are capable of understanding more than they initially thought.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe my key strengths as a tutor are strong conceptual understanding, patience, and clear communication. I have consistently achieved strong scores in Mathematics, Information Technology, and Software Development during my undergraduate studies and competitive exams, reflecting a solid academic foundation. Beyond academics, I have applied these concepts in professional settings, which allows me to connect theory with real-world practice and explain why concepts truly matter. I focus on teaching for deep understanding rather than memorization. For me, teaching is also a way of learning.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is truly understand the person’s problems, challenges, and learning gaps. Everyone learns differently, and effective tutoring begins with listening carefully and identifying where they are genuinely struggling. A tutor should pause and address difficulties properly rather than rushing to simply cover more topics. It is important to create a safe and supportive environment where a person feels comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment.

About Shashwath

Strong Maths Background with Advanced Analytical Skills

Shashwath is a Master of Data Science student with a high distinction in his computer science degree, giving him a deep, practical understanding of mathematics and problem solving. He consistently achieved more than 80% in high school maths and now works with statistics, algorithms, and data models every day. This tutor is skilled at breaking complex ideas into clear, step-by-step explanations, helping students move from “I don’t get it” to confidently tackling questions on their own.

Clear Communicator Who Makes Concepts Click

Through mentoring in university projects and professional roles, Shashwath has spent many hours explaining technical and mathematical ideas to people with very different levels of understanding. He is used to listening carefully, identifying where someone is stuck, and then rebuilding the concept from the ground up with simple language and examples. This tutor is comfortable creating personalised learning plans, checking progress regularly, and adjusting his approach so each student feels supported and actually enjoys the learning process.

Patient Mentor with Real-World Problem-Solving Experience

Beyond the classroom, Shashwath has led student consulting teams, guiding peers to solve real problems for community organisations. He has also designed machine learning projects, such as a system that predicts injury risk in athletes, which required careful data analysis and logical thinking similar to challenging maths questions. These experiences mean he can show students how maths links to real life, keep them engaged with practical examples, and build both their confidence and independence over time.
