What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy helping others understand and master challenging concepts. In high school, I often assisted friends in subjects like mathematics and science, guiding them step by step and sharing strategies that worked for me. I adapt explanations to each personβs learning style and encourage consistency, reminding them not to compare themselves to others. Seeing someone gain understanding and confidence is very rewarding and makes tutoring so fulfilling for me.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strengths include clear explanations, patience, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles. Having experienced Asian, Norwegian, Finnish, and Australian education systems, I developed effective study strategies and resilience. Despite moving to Australia two years before graduating, I became dux in both Year 11 and 12, achieving an ATAR of 98.35 and gaining entry into medicine at Central Queensland University. Friends often tell me I explain complex concepts clearly and in an understandable way.
Most important things I can do for a student π
A tutor should help students understand concepts, build confidence, and develop effective study habits. Building a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions is crucial. Tutors should explain ideas clearly, adapt to individual learning styles, and encourage consistent effort. Ultimately, a tutor empowers students to become independent learners, helping them achieve progress while building self-confidence.
