What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

When the content taught and learnt pays off in a classroom setting for the student. The most rewarding part of tutoring to me is when a student feels as though the tutoring is beneficial and helps them in a tangible way.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

My strengths include clear communication and a full understanding of the concepts I teach. I take pride in my ability to convey ideas in an accurate way but also in a way that facilitates learning. I am social and able to get along with others easily, especially children however am also able to act as an authority figure.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Being able to put themselves in the students shoes and view the learning from their perspective. Being good at reading emotions and able to understand nonverbal cues to help the student is highly important.

About Oskar

Growing Academic Strength with a Psychology and Commerce Student

Oskar is currently studying both Commerce and Psychology at university, giving him a strong mix of analytical and people-focused skills that translate well into tutoring Maths and English. He understands how students think and learn, and uses this to break down tricky concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations. This tutor is comfortable helping with homework support, test preparation, and building study habits that suit each student’s personality and goals.

Real-World Care and Patience with Young People

Through his work as a disability support worker, Oskar has developed genuine patience, empathy, and the ability to encourage students who lack confidence. He is used to giving one-on-one support, adapting communication to suit different needs, and keeping young people engaged through conversation and activities. This tutor brings the same calm, supportive approach to his sessions, helping students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and gradually build their skills in Maths and English.

Leadership, Responsibility and a Love of the Outdoors

Oskar’s volunteer experience as a surf lifesaver and his time in a cadet unit show he is responsible, disciplined, and reliable. He is used to following routines, giving clear instructions, and staying focused under pressure – qualities that help him run organised, productive tutoring sessions. His background in team environments also means he knows how to motivate students, set achievable goals, and celebrate progress, making learning feel active and rewarding rather than a chore.
