What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most is the moment when something finally “clicks†for a student. Especially in maths, students often think they’re bad at it, but usually they just haven’t seen it explained in a way that works for them. I like breaking concepts down into simple steps and watching their confidence grow. Seeing someone go from “I don’t get this at all†to solving problems independently is very satisfying.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
One of my strengths is that I’m patient and comfortable explaining things in multiple ways. With an engineering background, I’m used to dealing with complex problems, so I naturally try to simplify ideas rather than make them more complicated. I also understand what it feels like to struggle with a topic and then improve through practice, so I try to create a calm environment where students feel comfortable asking questions without feeling judged.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is build confidence while building understanding. Many students know more than they think but hesitate because they’re unsure. A good tutor should not just give answers, but help students understand the “why†behind each step. It’s also important to teach problem-solving habits — how to think through a question logically — so that students don’t become dependent on the tutor long term.

About Ishaan
From Numbers to Narratives – A Tutor Who Makes Concepts Click
Ishaan is a Master of Business Analytics student with a strong background in electrical and electronics engineering, giving him a solid foundation in Maths and problem-solving. He is used to working with data, logic, and structured thinking, and brings this clarity into his explanations. This tutor helps students break complex ideas into simple, manageable steps, whether it’s algebra, statistics, or word problems. He focuses on building genuine understanding so that students can tackle new questions with confidence, not just memorise methods.
Leadership, Mentoring and Confidence-Building
As vice president of a large university dramatics club, Ishaan mentored more than 100 students across different teams, guiding them through scripts, rehearsals and production deadlines. This experience sharpened his ability to read personalities, encourage shy learners and give clear, constructive feedback. He brings the same calm, encouraging presence to tutoring sessions, helping students find their voice in English, structure their ideas, and present them clearly in essays, speeches and written responses.
Organised, Communicative and Easy to Work With
Through coordinating major university cultural and technical festivals, Ishaan has managed schedules, competing priorities and detailed planning for events with dozens of participants. This means he is highly organised with lesson planning, keeps parents informed about progress, and adapts sessions to upcoming tests or assignments. He enjoys making learning interactive, using examples from theatre, technology and everyday life so students stay engaged while steadily improving their Maths and English skills.
