Working with kids can be challenging since each of them have their own ways of grasping information, so as a tutor, it is important to adapt your teaching to the student rather than expecting the student to adapt to you. The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is be patient with them. Teaching children can be stressful, especially when it comes to teaching what we consider to be « basic math », but it is important to remember that not understanding a topic is frustrating for the student as well.
