What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love working with children. I enjoy seeing their confidence grow with each lesson. When a student initially struggles with a concept and then gradually grows to finding it easy, I really find that rewarding. I love to develop effective strategies for each child and I really feel rewarded when I see them benefit from those.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I identify each child's strengths and I try to tailor my teaching plans to them. Since I am also Speech Pathologist, I can easily build rapport with kids and I understand that each child has a unique way of learning. I can explain complex concepts in a simple way so the child can understand. I come up with strategies for them to remember each concept easily. I also have the ability to adapt to new teaching methods. As a Masters student, I have strong academic training and study skills which would help me tutor the kids better.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is to build a supportive and safe environment where the students find it comfortable asking questions. A tutor should adapt their teaching skills to each student, let him/her make mistakes and then learn from them. It also important to help the child develop good study habits as independent learning skills.
