What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy helping students believe they are capable and inspiring them to be better. From experience, I find that a lot of students and children in general have the ability to perform at a higher level, they just think they can't, and this mindset leads to a plateau. Helping them get past this roadblock is often the best way to help them learn.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My biggest strengths as a tutor are my aptitude for mathematics and my ability to put kids at ease. I have consistently received near top results in maths throughout all my years however I am from the ACT so I don't think my skills lie best in teaching advanced topics within a NSW curriculum. I have also worked with kids a lot in multiple scenarios including tutoring, and I find I can connect and reduce some of the tension in these dynamics.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is build a good relationship so the student feels confident and secure. While education is paramount, a student who feels unsafe or stressed is more likely to perform poorly and absorb less information, so I believe that being someone the student is comfortable around in turn leads to academic improvement along with helping the student in general.

About Logan

High-achieving maths and science student who explains things clearly

Logan is a top-performing secondary student with strong results across advanced Mathematics, English, Physics and Chemistry. He has earned multiple distinctions and high distinctions in national mathematics and science competitions, showing he not only understands the content but can think logically under pressure. This tutor uses that problem-solving mindset to break tricky ideas into simple, step-by-step explanations, helping students move from “I don’t get it” to “this actually makes sense” in both maths and English-based subjects.

Proven tutoring and mentoring experience with young learners

Logan has already run his own private tutoring service, designing tailored literacy and numeracy lessons for school-aged students. He regularly communicated with parents about progress and adjusted his approach to suit different learning styles. Beyond academics, he has mentored younger soccer players, teaching foundational skills, refereeing games, and modelling good sportsmanship. This mix of tutoring and coaching experience means he knows how to keep sessions focused, encouraging, and engaging for children and teens.

Calm, disciplined role model who builds confidence

Through years of martial arts training, including achieving a black belt and joining a leadership mentor program, Logan has developed strong discipline, patience and respect—qualities he brings into every lesson. He is used to arriving early, planning ahead, and helping others practise skills until they click. In tutoring, he uses this steady, organised approach to set clear goals, celebrate small wins, and build each student’s confidence, whether they are catching up or aiming for top marks.
