What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Me personally what I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing a student understand something they struggled with before. Besides, it is very rewarding when a child becomes more confident after learning something new. I also enjoy interacting with students and finding simple and fun ways to explain things so they stay interested in learning.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think one of my strengths is being patient, especially with younger students. Sometimes they need a bit more time to understand things, and I’m okay with explaining something again in a different way if needed. Moreover I also try to keep the lessons relaxed and encouraging so the student feels comfortable asking questions or saying when they don’t understand something.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

To my understanding, I think the most important thing is helping the student to feel comfortable and supported during lessons. When a student isn’t afraid to make mistakes or ask questions, they usually learn much better. On top of that, a tutor should also try to explain things in a way that makes sense to the student and help them build confidence, not just focus on getting the right answers.

About Justin Yew Kit

Caring Maths and English Support for Primary Students

Justin is a commerce student who brings genuine care and structure to his work with children. Through his role as a babysitter/tutor, he has provided oneonone support in Mathematics, English, and Bahasa Melayu for primary students, adapting each lesson to the child’s pace and confidence level. He designs fun, ageappropriate activities that turn homework and revision into something less stressful and more engaging, while keeping parents informed and involved in their child’s progress.

OnetoOne Tutoring with Strong Communication Skills

This tutor combines clear communication with strong organisation, developed through both tutoring and various customerfacing roles. Justin is used to explaining ideas simply to children and adults, whether it’s breaking down a tricky maths problem or guiding families through activities at events. He regularly uses digital tools, including AI, to find examples, create practice questions, and track learning, giving students a modern, efficient learning experience that feels relatable rather than overwhelming.

Confident Young Role Model with Leadership Experience

Beyond academics, Justin brings leadership and teamwork experience that helps him connect with students as a positive role model. He has served as vice president of a netball club and treasurer of a ball games club, giving him insight into motivating young people and balancing fun with responsibility. As a former sports house president and club treasurer at school, he understands school life from the inside and uses that experience to encourage better study habits, resilience, and confidence in his students.
