What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I enjoy helping students build confidence in their abilities and seeing the moment when something that once seemed difficult suddenly makes sense to them. Tutoring allows me to work closely with students, understand how they learn best, and explain concepts in a way that suits them personally. Itβs really rewarding to see their progress over time, whether thatβs improving their grades, developing stronger study habits, or simply feeling more confident asking questions and tackling challenges independently.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
My strengths as a tutor are my patience, clear communication, and ability to adapt to different learning styles. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps so students can build a strong foundation. Iβm also approachable and supportive, which helps students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Additionally, I try to make lessons engaging and practical so students stay motivated and can see real progress in their understanding and confidence.
Most important things I can do for a student π
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is help them build confidence in their ability to learn. When students believe they can understand a subject, they become more willing to ask questions, try difficult problems, and persist when something is challenging. A tutor should create a supportive environment, explain concepts clearly, and guide students to develop strong problem-solving and study skills so they can eventually work independently and succeed on their own.

About Panos
Early Experience Working Directly With Children
Panos already works hands-on with children in a formal care setting, supervising groups and helping them think creatively and independently. This tutor is used to managing different personalities, keeping kids engaged and safe, and guiding them through activities that build both confidence and skills. His background in childcare means he understands how young people learn best through encouragement, clear boundaries, and positive routines, which he brings directly into his tutoring sessions.
Strong Communication and Calm Classroom Presence
Through his childcare role, Panos has developed strong communication skills, explaining tasks clearly and calmly and adapting his language for different ages. He is used to answering endless questions, breaking instructions into simple steps, and keeping students focused even when they are tired or distracted. Parents can expect a tutor who listens carefully, gives specific feedback, and uses patience and humour to build trust and keep lessons running smoothly.
Organised, Reliable and Student-Focused Approach
Panos combines solid organisational skills with a warm, approachable style. He is experienced in planning activities ahead of time, managing transitions between tasks, and keeping materials ready so students can get straight into learning. In tutoring, this translates into structured sessions with clear goals, short check-ins to see what students remember, and practical examples that connect to their everyday experiences. This tutor aims to help students feel prepared, capable, and proud of their progress.

Lesson went great nothing I saw that needed improvement yet.
Picked up rates easily and was able to do them without a struggle. Only struggled with ratios.

Ratios need improvement as Gabriel was getting a little confused.
We did a topic test to see what areas Gabe needs to improve in, but he did great in the test.

Only area that he needed help in was for some capture recapture and some proportion questions which he got the hang of after I showed him.
Annuities went well. They were quite straight forward.

Needs improvement in identifying when the question wants to use different periods instead of years, and what to do with the rate.
