What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing students gradually gain confidence and understanding. It is very rewarding to watch a concept that once felt difficult suddenly “click†for them. I also find it motivating when students become excited about learning and look forward to our sessions. Seeing their progress over time, especially when their marks improve, makes me feel proud because it shows that the effort we both put in is making a real difference.

One of my biggest strengths is patience. Every student learns at a different pace, so I take the time to explain concepts in different ways until it makes sense for them. I also focus on creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment so students feel confident asking questions without feeling pressured. My communication style is clear and encouraging, which helps students stay motivated and engaged during lessons.

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do is build a student’s confidence while helping them understand difficult concepts. Being patient and explaining things clearly allows students to feel comfortable asking questions and improving. From my own experience, my math tutor was very encouraging and always supported me when I struggled. Her encouragement helped me gain confidence and even inspired me to pursue medicine. I think a great tutor can influence not only a student’s grades but also their motivation and future goals.
