What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy making a difference. I feel that when I tutor someone they get something out of the experience, they learn something and feel good about themselves. I enjoy being able to get people to their full potential and open them to new ways of thinking. I love to see the growth a student can make when I help them.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I feel as if I am very patient as a tutor and will try multiple different ways of explaining the same concept until a student can fully grasp it. I have very good communication skills and am able to effectively deliver content to students. I make students feel ok to get answers wrong as it is a learning opportunity that they can grow from.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to boost their confidence and belief in themselves. If you can boost their confidence and make them believe in themself, they are able to achieve whatever they set their mind to. They will try harder and push themselves further.

About Mackenzie

High-achieving maths and physics tutor with proven results

Mackenzie is a high-performing maths and physics student who tutors secondary students from Years 7–12, including Maths Methods, Specialist and Physics. She has competed in national-level physics tournaments, earning a gold medal in a Young Physicists Tournament and serving as a reserve for an international team. Her strong academic record, including recognition as an ATAR Dux runner-up and a multi-year university excellence scholarship, gives parents confidence that she understands the demands of senior school courses and can explain complex ideas clearly.

Clear communicator with real experience guiding young people

This tutor has hands-on experience working with children and teens through both tutoring and several years of babysitting. She regularly supports students one-on-one, breaking down challenging concepts into manageable steps and helping them prepare for tests and assignments. Her background in conflict resolution, team leadership and working under pressure means she stays calm and patient, even when students feel stressed or frustrated. Parents can expect a reliable role model who is comfortable guiding young people academically and personally.

Organised, personable and focused on building confidence

Mackenzie brings strong organisational skills to every session, drawing on her experience as a house leader and involvement in maths enrichment programmes and competitions.
