What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
For me, the most rewarding part of tutoring is watching a student's confidence grow as they finally master a concept that once felt overwhelming. When I co-founded my educational startup, Yellow Minds, our core mission was to energize minds with detailed coaching. I spent a significant amount of time personally teaching Math and Python programming to students in grades 6 through 12, and I discovered a real passion for structuring those learning experiences. I believe my biggest strength is my diagnostic approach to teaching. I am very good at observing a student's process, listening to their questions, and identifying the underlying knowledge gaps holding them back. The most important thing a tutor can do is build a student's confidence so they eventually don't need a tutor anymore. Especially when working with middle and high school students, it is about much more than just helping them find the right answers for a single assignment. It is about meeting them on their level, teaching them how to think logically, and showing them how to problem-solve independently.
