What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring jobs require extra help; a struggling student who is not understanding his/her grade level needs a tutor. I love making the journey comfortable and easygoing for the students, so that they feel confident and work well.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I show empathy and refrain from judging students when they are wrong. I am patient and willing to review the problems repeatedly.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe a tutor should be aware of a student's strengths and weaknesses and work on both, so that they do not fall behind.

About Mouri

Primary Teaching Specialist with Strong English Background

Mouri is a dedicated primary education specialist currently completing a Master of Teaching in Primary Education. With a Bachelor and Master in English, she brings a deep understanding of language to every Maths and English session. She has taught primary students in both classroom and tutoring settings, so she understands curriculum expectations as well as the daytoday challenges children face. This tutor focuses on clear explanations, stepbystep modelling and lots of guided practice, helping students build real confidence, not just finish worksheets.

Proven Classroom Experience and Structured Learning Approach

Mouri has worked as a primary assistant teacher and as a fellow teacher in intensive teaching programs, where she designed lessons using Bloom’s Taxonomy and the GRRM model (I do–We do–You do). She has led creative activities, speaking circles and group sessions that develop both academic skills and social confidence. In tutoring, she uses the same structure: explicit teaching, shared examples, then independent practice with feedback, so parents can see steady, measurable improvement in their child’s work.

Communication, Feedback and Study Skills for Growing Learners

Alongside her primary work, Mouri has supported firstyear university students in English speaking and writing, checked assignments and run seminars, giving her strong skills in marking, feedback and academic coaching. She has completed specialist workshops on managing feedback, building active participation and improving reading of difficult texts, which she adapts for school students. This tutor is especially effective for children who are shy, learning in a second language, or needing help to express ideas clearly in writing and oral presentations.
