What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
To me, tutoring is a mutually benefical arrangement. I enjoy connecting with students and helping to build confidence in their skills, all while keeping my own skills sharp.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have been told that I am very well-spoken, and I believe that this is an asset for a tutor. It is through these communication skills that I can accomodate for each student's specific needs.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that tutoring is about more than studying for tests, and has a greater focus on developing skills that are transferable beyond their learning careers. I can teach content, but more importantly help students have a greater understanding of their own capabilities.

I would like to see him using more diagrams to aid in visualising problems. Often he knows what to do but needs some prompting.
He is more confident in the content for his upcoming exam. He is quite good at algebraic manipulation.

He needs to work on transformations, particularly being more careful with x' and y'. It would also help to update his bound reference more often.
He had a good understanding of most of the concepts. He has a noticeable improvement of sketching and solving quadratics.

I would like to help him with mathematical rigour in his working out, specifically notation.
He was comfortable solving for points of interest of quadratics. He was very engaged and open to learning, working was neat. Good intuition for back-checking.

I would like to help him work on conceptual understanding instead of blindly using formulas. Need improvement on index laws, particularly with simplifying when different bases are involved.
