What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I find most rewarding about tutoring is the opportunity to empower the next generation. I enjoy guiding students through complex technical material and helping them sharpen their problem-solving skills, knowing that this knowledge gives them the agency to shape the future. At the same time, teaching these fundamentals gives me a much deeper appreciation for the pioneers who first developed these concepts. My first strength is helping students see the 'why' behind the work. I’ve found that when I explain the logic and derivations of the pioneers who first solved these problems, the material becomes much more intuitive and enjoyable. I believe another big strength of mine is my empathy. During my time as a peer mentor at RMIT, I’ve made it a priority to remember exactly what it felt like to encounter technical challenges for the first time.
