What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Helping others through the learning process

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

Asking questions of the student to understand their knowledge and where they're at with a given topic

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Communication. Being able to answer questions a student may have, on top of that a student being able to tell their tutor they aren't keeping up with the lesson, or their mind's not in a good learning space is really important

About Louise

Emerging Tutor with Real Youth Leadership Experience

Louise is a friendly, downtoearth tutor who understands what school feels like right now, because she is coming straight from that environment herself. Through years of youth group involvement, she has led games and activities for younger members, learning how to give clear instructions and keep everyone engaged. As an elected secretary and later a council organiser, she has practised notetaking, timekeeping and keeping groups on track – skills that translate directly into organised, focused tutoring sessions for primary and lower secondary students.

Organised, Reliable and Great with People

This tutor has strong interpersonal skills from regular customerfacing roles, where she communicated clearly, stayed calm under pressure and worked closely in a team. Parents can expect a tutor who is punctual, prepared and able to explain things patiently in simple language. Louise’s experience coordinating youth meetings and bringing attention back to the leader shows she can gently refocus distracted students and guide them stepbystep through maths or English tasks without making them feel rushed or judged.

Supportive Mentor Who Relates to Students

Louise’s strengths at school were in General Mathematics and essaybased subjects that require careful reading and structured writing, which supports her work with students in both Maths and English. She has completed a residential leadership program where she practised working under pressure, solving problems and encouraging others through challenging activities. Outside study, she enjoys netball and baking, and often uses reallife examples like recipes, scores or game tactics to make concepts more concrete, helping students see how classroom learning connects to everyday life.
