What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoyed the most through my informal tutoring experience was seeing that moment when something that felt confusing for the learner suddenly makes sense to them. That is very rewarding to help someone move on from frustration to confidence.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As a result of my previous work experience in retail and informal tutoring, some of my strengths as a tutor are: Communication Skills, Patience, active listening, and most importantly, the subject knowledge, which I have plenty of because of my HSC background. I also have organisational skills to plan my lessons for the learner, etc.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I'd say the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is firstly build confidence- help the student realise they can succeed in any subject. Promoting understanding by explaining the concept clearly, teaching them strategies for them to understand the concept better. Make a safe environment to ask for questions.
