I think the most important thing is to help a student build confidence, not just get through a problem. If they believe they canβt do it, nothing else works. I had self doubt right before my HSC exams, so I truly know how important confidence is and how strongly it affects a personβs performance. Building Understanding, Confidence and Results
I tutor students from Year 7 to Year 12, including Advanced Mathematics, Extension 1 Mathematics and Physics. My goal is not only to help students solve questions correctly, but to help them understand why each method works. By breaking complex concepts into simple steps, I help students build confidence, improve problem-solving skills and achieve stronger academic results.
Engineering-Based Problem Solving
As an Engineering student at UNSW, I regularly use mathematics and analytical thinking to solve complex real-world problems. This allows me to explain concepts from multiple perspectives and help students understand not only how a solution works, but why it works. I adapt my explanations to suit different learning styles and encourage students to develop independent problem-solving skills.
