Brock is a recent school graduate who understands exactly what primary and high school students are going through, both in the classroom and beyond. As a long-term student leader, including serving as a vice house captain and school representative, he is used to supporting younger students and explaining things clearly. This tutor brings a friendly, downtoearth style, making it easy for students to ask questions, stay engaged and build confidence in challenging subjects like Maths and English.
Brock has extensive experience coaching and mentoring children and teens through volleyball programs, where he plans sessions, breaks down complex skills into simple steps, and adapts activities to each individual’s level. He regularly evaluates students’ abilities and adjusts drills to help them progress at the right pace. These same skills transfer directly to tutoring, where he can tailor explanations, set achievable goals and keep students motivated, especially those who may be shy, distracted or lacking confidence.
As a statelevel volleyball player and school team captain, Brock is used to setting goals, practising consistently and performing under pressure—exactly the mindset he encourages in his students. He draws on his sporting background to teach time management, resilience and exam or test preparation strategies, using real examples from training and competition to keep lessons relatable. This tutor aims to help students not only improve their marks, but also develop the selfdiscipline and focus that carry over into all areas of school life.
