Max once again learnt quickly when concepts were explained, and picked up on a new skill that should help him greatly in his algebraic skills. Demonstrated a good base understanding when looking at trigonometric proofs.

Should work on these trigonometric proofs, and try again to get more comfortable with the transformations of functions. Should try to look at graphs of trig functions too, but this will be looked at in further depth in the next session either way.

Max seems to have good neuroplasticity in relation to learning about mathematical topics, and demonstrates an understanding of what he needs to do in order to improve.

Max should work more on being comfortable with the topics discussed, these being differentiation, transformation of functions (perhaps review basic functions to achieve this) and further trigonometry, i.e. Radians.

Max was able to catch onto topics fast once theory was explained, for example when covering applications of derivatives. Max also again showed strong algebraic foundational skills, which will aid him later in this topic.

Should get more comfortable with deriving basic functions and algebraic expressions as well as familiarising himself with derivative notation, and what each notation means. Max should also look over limits and cubic functions.

Max demonstrated a good understanding of where he went wrong for most of his examination questions once working through them. Also seemed to pick up on the conceptual aspect of differentiation quickly, with a good basis of understanding that is required to do well in mathematics.

Max will need to work on a better understanding of mathematical terminology and common practice within the realms of differentiation, i.e. how to represent a differentiated function in proper notation. Max should also attempt practice questions to further increase his familiarity with basic differentiation before content difficulty increases.
