What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

When I see a student understand something from me explaining, it gives me great pleasure to know that my teaching could help someone learn something.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I can think of innovative ways to teach difficult concepts, I break complex concepts into easily understandable smaller chunks.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

- Understand and even exceed in a topic they might struggle with - setting students up with skills that hopefully help them exceed further in their subject in the future instead of just teaching them how to memorise concepts.

About quincy

Confident Year 12 student with strong communication skills

Quincy is a current Year 12 student in a Gifted and Talented Art Program, with strong results in Science and design/visual arts. His background means he is used to thinking creatively while staying accurate and organised – a great mix for explaining tricky Maths and English concepts in simple, visual ways. Through his studies he has developed solid writing, analytical and problem-solving skills, which he brings into tutoring sessions to help students build confidence step by step.

Real-world experience working with people under pressure

Quincy has hands-on experience in busy customer-facing roles, where he regularly communicates with a wide range of people, stays calm under pressure, and manages several tasks at once. This experience translates directly into tutoring: he listens carefully, explains clearly, and keeps students focused without making them feel rushed. He is patient with questions, good at reading when a student is confused, and adjusts his explanations until the idea clicks.

Friendly, reliable support for primary and high school learners

This tutor is approachable, down-to-earth and close in age to many students, which often helps them feel comfortable asking questions they might hold back in class. Quincy is available after school and on weekends, making him a practical choice for regular support in Maths and English homework, assignments and test preparation. He aims to create a relaxed but productive atmosphere, using examples from everyday life and visual aids to make learning feel more engaging and less intimidating.
